Date & Pistachio Flapjacks by Dan Serves 20 Total 40 minutes Oven Temp 170 °C - 25 minutes Difficulty Super Easy Chef The Great British Bake Off Method Toast the pistachios and coconut flakes for 3 minutes. Meanwhile add the dates to a pan with 4 tbsp of water and put on a medium heat and stir until the dates soften. Add the butter, sugar, golden syrup, maple syrup and salt and stir until melted. Add the oats, toasted pistachios, coconut flakes and sesame seeds and mix together. Pour the mixture into a lined brownie tin and using the back of a spoon pat down until evenly distributed. Bake for around 25 minutes and then leave to cool before chilling to ensure the flapjacks set.
