230 g Unsalted Butter (Cubed)

280 g Marshmallows

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

240 g Crispy Rice Cereal

Brown Butter Crispy Rice Treats

Method

  1. Line a baking pan with baking paper.

  2. In a large pan melt the butter over a medium heat, it will start to bubble and crack and slowly brown, once the bubbling subsides after about 5 minutes.

  3. Add the vanilla extract, salt and marshmallows and stir until the marshmallows are fully melted and combined.

  4. Remove the pan from the heat and add the cereal, mix well until coated evenly. Add the mixture to the baking pan and pat into an even layer. Leave to cool for about 1 hour before cutting into squares.
